The four-star MS Serenity was built in 2006 and is a comfortable and modern river cruise vessel with an abundance of passenger capacity. From her distinct claret and cream colours on the outside, to the polished interiors – there is an air about this ship that exudes style, whilst maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere. Onboard of this 110 metre-long vessel, passengers can enjoy a wide range of public areas and services such as the spacious panoramic restaurant and lounge. The MS Serenity is equipped with a magnificent sun deck with a giant chess game and plenty of outdoor chairs and loungers, allowing passengers to enjoy the remarkable landscapes that pass by. The ship offers three cabin types – all of which have been designed and maintained to the highest standard for a comfortable stay. All cabins have outside views, climate control and an en-suite bathroom. In addition, cabins include a phone, TV, safe, and hair dryer.

Day 2 Sunday 11 August 2019 Venice, Italy 
Today we arrive in the spectacular city of Venice. After clearing customs, we are met by our local representative and are transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for independent sightseeing. Meals included: In flight

Day 3 Monday 12 August 2019 Venice 
Today we have a sightseeing tour of glorious Venice. We visit magnificent St Mark’s Square, with St Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. We see the spectacular Grand Canal with Palaces’ lining the banks. We will wind our way through the narrow alleyways to the market square of the Rialto. The rest of the afternoon will be free to explore this beautiful city. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 4 Tuesday 13 August 2019 Venice 
Today is at leisure to explore the extraordinary labyrinth of narrow streets and waterways and soak up the romance tinged with haunting melancholy of this unique city. Remember, that on this small island you will lose your way many times only to discover the most exquisite picturesque surprises and water views. Exploring this rabbit warren of streets and alleys lined with exclusive shops is a memorable experience on its own. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 5 Wednesday 14 August 2019 Salzburg, Austria 
Today we travel through the spectacular Alps to Salzburg, the city of Mozart, Silent Night and The Sound of Music. We will stop in the beautiful village of Hallstatt, a village on Lake Hallstatt’s western shore in Austria’s mountainous Salzkammergut region. Its 16th-century Alpine houses and alleyways surrounded by towering mountains on all sides make for a beautiful sight. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 6 Thursday 15 August 2019 Salzburg
This morning we will have a guided tour of Salzburg with local guide, including a visit to Mozart’s Birthplace in the Getreidegasse. You will also see historical landmarks such as the Trick Fountains, the Hellbrunn Palace, Mozart’s House, and the Fortress Hohensalzburg. On conclusion of the tour there will be free time. This evening you may like to attend a Sound of Music Tour (optional) and be shown some of the places where the famous film was made. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 7 Friday 16 August 2019 Salzburg 
A free day to further explore the picturesque Salzburg. You may like to attend one of the popular Mozart concerts. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 8 Saturday 17 August 2019 Vienna, Austria
This morning we make our way to Vienna, with its unique blend of imperial traditions and stunning architecture. On arrival we will have a sightseeing tour of Vienna where you will see towering 137 metre high Stephansdom Cathedral, Mozart’s Memorial Rooms, Donner Fountain, St.Augustine’s Church, where much of Graham Greene’s spy story The Third Man was filmed, Natural History Museum, Jewish Museum and much more. Day 9 Sunday 18 August 2019 Vienna 
This morning is free to discover Vienna. You may like to visit the Hofburg Imperial Palace. It is the centrepiece of Imperial Vienna with its vast complex of buildings and courtyards including St. Michael’s Gate, Hero’s Square, the Hofburgkapelle, home of the renowned Vienna Boys’ Choir and probably the most famous interior in Vienna the crystal-chandeliered Spanish Riding School arena, home to the world famous performing Lipizzaner Stallions. Day 10 Monday 19 August 2019 Vienna – Begin 7 night Danube River Cruise 
Today we transfer to the MS Serenity for our cruise on the beautiful Danube River. The ship will overnight in Vienna so you have a free day to take in more of Vienna’s sights. Savour a heavenly Sacher-Torte (chocolate cake) with Viennese coffee. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 11 Tuesday 20 August 2019 Vienna 
A free morning to enjoy the beautiful city of Vienna. In the afternoon be up on deck as the ship slips her moorings for the start of our fabulous cruise. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12 Wednesday 21 August2019 Linz, Austria 
This morning we will be cruising along the Danube River to Linz. As the third-largest city in Austria, Linz is a beautiful city with many interesting sights and activities. The imposing Linz Castle dates back to the early middle ages, now home to the excellent Schlossmuseum which displays important art and historical collections. You may also like to walk or bike along the trail that surrounds the city and covers many scenic and exciting areas. Visit the Postlingberg Church, a beautiful sanctuary that was founded during the 18th century and always open for visits. Explore the Old Town, the area that has a variety of different architectures due to fires and reconstruction. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13 Thursday 22 August 2019 Melk, Austria & Bratislava, Slovakia
Located in the beautiful Unesco World Heritage ‘Wachau Valley’, the town of Melk has been a spiritual and cultural centre of Austria for more than 1000 years. It is best known for its impressive baroque style, Benedictine monastery known as Melk abbey which is also one of Austria’s great cultural highlights and Europe’s largest abbeys. Since the 12th century, a school has been connected with the monastery, and valuable manuscripts have been collected here, which have ultimately helped to create an absolutely breath-taking library that you will see within the abbey chambers. Tonight we arrive in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, for an overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14 Friday 23 August 2019 Bratislava, Slovakia 
This morning explore Bratislava, where you will witness historic and modern landmarks of the city such as the St. Martin’s Cathedral, the city walls, the Presidential Palace, plus spectacular views from the Slavin Monument and the castle area. The city is often associated with chocolate, so feel free to experience this sweet delight. Take a pleasant stroll through the old streets, or why not take the time to soak in the atmosphere in one of the quaint cafés. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15 Saturday 24 August 2019 Budapest, Hungary 
As the capital of Hungary, Budapest is often called the “Paris of the East” and is a highlight for travellers from far and wide. Explore the city and discover the famous monuments located on the street Andrássy út, such as the Opera, Hero’s Square, the famous undercover market, St. Stephen’s church, which is the largest synagogue in Europe in which the famous Franz Liszt played; and finally, Parliament, which interestingly resembles the British Parliament building and contains nearly 20kms of corridors! An unforgettable view of the city will open up from the fabulous Fisherman’s Bastion, where you can enjoy the city at your fingertips. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 16 Sunday 25 August 2019 Esztergom, Hungary 
This morning we arrive in Esztergom, Hungary’s most sacred town and the seat of the Archbishop of Hungary. Esztergom’s massive basilica, sitting high above the town and Danube River, is an incredible sight, rising out of what seems like nowhere in a rural stretch of country. But Esztergom’s attraction goes deeper than the domed structure: the country’s first king, St Stephen, was born here in 975. It was a royal seat from the late 10th to the mid-13th centuries, as well as the seat of Roman Catholicism in Hungary for more than a thousand years. We have free time to explore this attractive town. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 17 Monday 26 August 2019 Vienna, Austria 
This morning we arrive back in Vienna and farewell our ship. After disembarkation we are transferred to Vienna airport for our connecting flights back to Australia. Meals included: Breakfast
